1. Platform Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the NRI Rishta platform—including but not limited to the "NRI Rishta" trademark, brand identity, logo, UI/UX designs, page layouts, graphic assets, software code, matching algorithms, databases, texts, and proprietary features—are the exclusive property of NRI Rishta Matrimonial Services Private Limited and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and international intellectual property treaties.
2. License to User-Generated Content
When you upload profile photographs, bios, descriptions, or feedback to NRI Rishta, you retain ownership of your intellectual property. However, you grant NRI Rishta a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, display, resize, distribute, format, and moderate such content solely for the operational delivery and security of matrimonial matchmaking services.
3. Prohibited Intellectual Property Infringements
Users and external entities are strictly prohibited from:
- Scraping, crawling, harvesting, or extracting profile data, photos, or contact information using automated bots, crawlers, or screen scrapers.
- Uploading photographs or content belonging to third parties, celebrities, models, or copyrighted photographers without explicit legal authorization.
- Decompiling, reverse-engineering, disassembling, or copying any portion of the platform software, APIs, or database schemas.
- Reproducing, redistributing, or commercializing NRI Rishta matrimonial profiles on third-party websites, social media channels, or advertising mediums.
4. DMCA & Indian Copyright Takedown Procedure
If you believe in good faith that any content hosted on NRI Rishta infringes your copyrighted work, submit a formal notice to our Designated Copyright Officer at legal@nri-rishta.com containing: (1) Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, (2) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, (3) Precise URL or Profile ID of the infringing material, (4) Contact details (email, phone, address), and (5) A statement of good faith belief that the disputed use is unauthorized.
